MU Voices calls for hidden talent
MU Voices calls for hidden talent
By Cari Ann DeLamielleure
Once again, the Madonna online literary publication, MU Voices, is calling all students, staff, and faculty to submit original works for the fall 2009 issue.
Individuals may submit written works, songs through an audio file, drawings, or photographs by Nov. 12.
"The reason we started MU Voices was because we want to hear from the variety of voices of students, staff and faculty,” said Frances FitzGerald, Writing Center Coordinator. “We wanted to represent the range of personalities and backgrounds that we have on campus."
MU Voices successfully announced its first issue in the spring 2009 term.
This year, creators Frances Fitzgerald and Ann Russell, Writing Program Director, are searching for the talent hidden in Madonna University.
This year, there will be a special section in the MU Voices devoted to featured poet, Sr. Ann Stamm. Her poetry will also feature personal sketches that accompany her writings.
In admiration of the submitted work, participants will be able to present their talents at a public reading on Nov. 30, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the West Colonnade.
All original works may be submitted to Ann Russell at arussell@madonna.edu
